Since the early 2000s, Casey Reas’ work has been presented widely in museums, galleries, and festivals around the world. His exhibitions range from solo presentations that explore new bodies of work in depth, to group shows that situate his practice within broader conversations. Overall, these exhibitions chart the evolution of generative and software-based art across media through software installations, videos, prints, plotter drawings, and blockchain-registered works, and highlight how these forms resonate in both physical and social space.

Reas’ work has been shown at institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Centre Pompidou, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing. He has exhibited extensively with galleries such as bitforms (New York) and DAM Projects (Berlin), alongside international venues committed to digital and conceptual practices.

This page provides an overview of exhibitions spanning more than two decades, tracing the reception of Reas’ work across contexts and generations, and showing how systems-based art has become an essential part of contemporary culture.
